Utilizing Blitzen’s iPad below, you can measure your properties roofline.
To get Started, select “Skip”.
Once done, move to Step 2.
Select the “Menu” button at the left corner of the iPad.
Select “Satellite” view.
Move to Step 3.
Select the “Menu” button again at the left corner of the iPad.
Scroll down and select “Measurement Unit”.
In the Popup Window, change the “Length Units” to “Foot” and select “Close”.
Move to Step 4.
Within the “Search Google Maps” bar, type in your properties address and find your property by zooming in.
Place your cursor or finger over a starting point on your roof and click, a pinpoint will be placed.
Now, click along the roofline to add points. Do not forget to account for peaks by following the pitch of the peak (See Example Below). Use multiple lines as needed to get different measurements.
Use the undo button or delete button to make changes to your line.
You will see the total length being calculated in the top left of the screen.

Move to step 6.
Take the total length from all of your measurements and input it into the calculator to get your cost estimate.
